A new Online interactive Risk Assessment (OiRA) tool will help businesses assess and manage the growing risks of working in extreme temperatures.
The OiRA Heat and Cold tool guides users through identifying thermal hazards and implementing effective measures, such as adjusting work schedules, ensuring appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), setting up acclimatisation programmes, and training workers to recognise signs of heat or cold stress.
The tool also addresses the specific needs of vulnerable workers.
It supports businesses in complying with EU occupational safety and health (OSH) legislation.
