DISCLAIMER: Companies should be aware that this tool has been developed at EU level and can differ from national legislative requirements.The EU tool for the agricultural sector was developed by the EU Social Partners Geopa and EFFAT with the support of EU-OSHA to facilitate the assessment of occupational safety and health (OSH) risks in the sector and take preventive and effective action.Risks related to handling animals (cattle, pigs, horses, sheep, goats), fruit and vegetable cultivation as well as risks related to pesticides, agricultural vehicles, working in confined spaces, working at heights and with heavy machinery, musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), and psychosocial issues are among the many risks farmers and agricultural workers face on a daily basis.
